By Ruby Prince

Many people are concerned about their health, especially when they get older. People want to know how best to avoid physical aging, cancer, disease and other problems associated with old age. Many things can cause these problems, including atoms known as free radicals. These atoms contain an odd number of electrons and are created when oxygen and specific molecules interact. These atoms are known for causing many problems in the body, which is why so many want to stop free radicals.

These have a chain-like reaction when they form. The primary danger lies in the cellular damage they are capable of when it comes to DNA, cell membrane and other important components of the body. Cells may die off or poorly function as a result. Prevention is best handled by creating some form of defense mechanism.

There are a lot of different claims to the best defense mechanism. Still, most agree that antioxidants are very beneficial in the process. These are tied to preventing damage to cells, which is linked to cancer, aging and other diseases. The molecules are able to safely interact with atoms to stop the chain reaction before damage is done.

Defeating these radicals can prevent onset of numerous diseases and may even extend the life span of individuals. It is also ideal to avoid the causes of these radicals. However, these are basically everywhere. Some general factors associated with radical forming include: stress, metabolism, aging, sugar, coffee, additives, coffee, herbicides, pesticides, pollutants in the air, water pollutants, solar radiation, electromagnetic fields, radon gas and chemical solvents.

Spineone Patient Review

By Jerome J Hoffman Jerome Hoffman was a patient at SpineOne in Denver, CO. He was violently rear-ended in an automobile accident in 2012 and needed help for acute back and neck pain. The treatment plan devised by the physician that Jerome saw included three main areas - muscle relaxer medicine, PT work done at the SpineOne Rehab Center, and 3 minimally invasive injections that were intended to "kick-start" the healing process - the injections had both steroids to assist in healing and an anesthesia to help with the pain. It took Jerome 2 months before he was feeling confident about the strength of his back and neck. After 4 months, he discontinued the medication and finished the last of the 3 targeted injections. He went to physical Therapy 2-3 times a week, where the focus was strengthening his core and teaching him how to do exercises on his own. The Physical therapist that he worked with was diligent about making sure that Jerome did his "homework" eve...
