It is very important that one has a balanced diet if he would want to become very fit. This is because the body needs nutrients to give each body part the capacity to become fit.

Do take note that these foods are necessary simply because they would make the metabolism of a person faster. Starch which is found in vegetables and fruits, is used for better bowel regulation and would help the digestive system excrete wastes faster which would also contribute in overall health and fitness. Other nutrients like protein is used to have more energy and tone the muscles.

Now if one already has a good diet, then the next thing he should do would be to create the proper exercise program. First of all, he has to strengthen his overall body by doing some cardio exercises. Now one should never overdo his cardio exercises as doing too much will result in harmful results rather than beneficial ones.

Aside from that, he should also do some strength exercises so that he can tone up his muscles. Since he is already somewhere in his forties, then he should not do the rigorous exercises that he probably used to do when he was younger. Now should stick to some light weights instead just so he can tone up his entire body.

Of course in addition to all of this, one has to also take his daily dose of vitamins. This would actually help with the health of a person as it will provide the essential things that the body needs. Now if one has a healthy internal system, then it will definitely show on the outside as well.
